This Privacy Policy explains how ClipyAi handles information used in connection with clip generation, account connection, and creator-requested publishing workflows.
2. Information Processed
The app may process the following categories of information:
- YouTube URLs and clip-processing settings submitted by the user
- Generated transcripts, clip metadata, thumbnails, captions, and output files
- OAuth tokens or account identifiers needed for supported publishing integrations
- Basic upload results returned by connected platforms
3. How Information Is Used
Information is used to:
- Process source videos into short-form clips
- Generate titles, descriptions, tags, and related posting copy
- Connect creator-owned accounts
- Upload creator-selected clips to supported platforms at the user's request
4. TikTok Data & Permissions
When you connect your TikTok account, ClipyAi requests the following OAuth scopes. Each scope is used solely to provide the features described below and only upon explicit user action:
user.info.basic
Retrieves your TikTok display name and profile picture so ClipyAi can confirm which account is connected and show it inside the app. This data is not stored beyond the active session.
video.publish
Allows ClipyAi to upload a clip you have selected and manually triggered for posting. The app never posts automatically — every upload is initiated by you clicking a publish button. The video file is transmitted directly to TikTok and is not stored on our servers after upload.
video.upload
Used to initiate the file upload portion of the TikTok Content Posting API (required alongside video.publish). No additional data is collected through this scope beyond what is needed to complete the upload you requested.
TikTok OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are used exclusively for upload operations on your behalf. You can revoke access at any time from your TikTok account settings or from within ClipyAi.
5. Other Third-Party Services
The app may also use Google/YouTube APIs and AI/transcription providers. Their own privacy terms apply to connected features.
6. Data Retention & Choices
Generated files, settings, and account connection tokens remain stored securely until you delete them or disconnect your account. You may disconnect linked accounts, delete generated clips, and stop using the app at any time.
